Dr. Kathleen Glenister Roberts (Ph.D., Indiana University-Bloomington) is Director of the University Honors College at Duquesne. She graduated from the University of Richmond’s JPG: Kathleen Glenister Roberts honors college as a University Scholar and then earned an M.A. at the University of Notre Dame. Brian S. Brown Jr.

Brian S. Brown Jr. is a student, community/youth organizer, and activist who was born and raised in one of the City of Pittsburgh historic African American neighborhoods, the Hill District. He has been working on issues of social justice and equality since the age of eight (8) years old. His experience in the arts began by working for Nego Gato Inc (an Afro-Brazilian Music & Dance nonprofit company) as a Youth Apprentice that used the arts to empower and enrich the lives of youth and the world community through performance, education and employment in African-Brazilian arts of music, dance, and Capoeira.
